Dolphin Watching and Snorkeling activity.

Dolphin watching is an activity that can be done all the year round as we have the priviledge of having a nice population of dolphin staying along our coast.  The most common species are the spinner and the bottle nose.

This is an activity of 3 to 4 hours duration starting normally between 7 and 8 O’clock in the morning.

Dolphins can be seen along the western coast few meters after the barrier of Coral.

From Le Morne to the bay of Tamarin. 

After swimming with the dolphins, we will take you to one of the various snorkeling spots of the region where you will be able to admire the beautiful tropical fish.

We have a 90% chance of seeing dolphins. Snorkeling equipments, soft drinks and water are available on board. Above all do not forget your camera to be able to immortalise this moment.

The most common dolphins in the region

Spinner dolphin

Spinner dolphins are between 1.3 - 2 meters long and weighs between 45-75 kg.They feed themselves mainly on small fishes and all kinds of cephalopods (squid, octopus ...). They can hunt up to several hundred meters depth. These dolphins live in large groups from 25 to  hundred individuals.

Bottlenose dolphin

The length of the bottle nose dolphin varies from 1.7 meters to 4 meters and weight of 70 kg to 400 kg.  Bottle nose dolphin possesses a very good vision underwater and out of water.  It can live up to 30 years.  They are very social animals.  They live and hunt in groups of 2 to 6 IndividualsMost pods are formed from a group of females and their offspring, in which males  join them briefly.
