They are abundante in the region. Caught all the year round. They are very stong fish and nice to fight on light tackle. The local record is 41 pounds skipjack tuna on a line of 50 pounds..
Spearfish
The spear fish is a good fighter when caught on light tackle. The best period is in from october to februry. The weight varies from 30 to 60 pounds.
Tiger shark
The tiger shark is an amazing predator and a good fighter. The mauritian record weights 1218 pounds.
